Ray Matthews Photography

Ray Matthews grew up in the region, and moved to the Outer Banks after college in 1972. He has spent almost 50 years photographing this area’s landscapes and birds and wildlife. He still mats and frames everything himself by hand. His work is divided between fine art and commercial photography. He has earned national recognition and several awards for his work.
